APECS career development panel. (Jan. 11, 2013)

There will be the APECS career development panel in the lunch time (12:20-13:20) on January 16 at the Conference room 2. <details>
The LOC is planning to prepare a Japanese style lunch box for each participant to APECS panel because it is held at lunch time. It costs JPY500. If you need the lunch box, please send e-mail to isar3 (at) jcar.org   at the latest 15:00(JST=UT+9) on Jan. 14 (Tue). (Mon.)  Lunch boxes are exchanged for cash at the entrance of the conference room 2.

Free wireless LAN is not available in the venue, since it (may) cause
trouble to some exhibits in this science museum.  Only the person who
has contract with Docomo Wi-Fi or Softbank Wi-Fi can use them in the venue.

Student award information updated

To encourage students to promote their Arctic research, a poster presentation by a student will be selected for the Best Poster Presentation Award by judges appointed by the Symposium Organization Committee (SOC).  For oral presentations, the SOC found it difficult to judge fairly for the best presentation because of parallel sessions,  therefore, no oral presentation award will be selected. However, it does not mean to discourage oral presentations by student.

Submission of abstract started (Jul. 30, 2012)

Participants wishing to present an oral/poster presentation are requested to submit an abstract of no more than one page of text (A4 size paper, 500 words maximum, PDF file). The abstract must be submitted by September 15, 2012. Notification of acceptance will be made to participants by the middle of October.
